ARLEQUIN
Après Children’s Terrorvision Workhop (2018), ARLEQUIN est le deuxième album conceptuel de ce projet solo. Avec son bagage de compositeur au théâtre, Jertrude aime travailler sur la composition d’image sonore en ajoutant à sa musique une narrative scénaristique.

ARLEQUIN propose donc l’aventure d’une âme humaine sur terre.
De l’innocence infantile (INDIGO / FÉLIX KARMIQUE) à la découverte adolescente (LES PLAISIRS DE MILGRAM) aux obstacles affrontés une fois adulte (LES CHEMINS QUE L’ON PREND). l’aventure sonore propose en final au protagoniste une possibilité de tout recommencer sous forme de réincarnation; qu’elle soit mentale ou physique (LA MAGIE DE L’INTERVALLE).
Religion, politique, amour, le réel, l’irréel, folie des grandeurs et folie des complots, Jertrude Battue appose les multi facettes et les multiples possibilités devant le scénario qu’est une vie humaine.
Malgré la rédemption et les choix que nous faisons, qui contrôle réellement les ficelles
de ce grand théâtre, de cette tragi-comédie?

Laissant une grande place à l’interprétation, ARLEQUIN se veut une oeuvre semi autobiographique où le musicien ajoute allègrement ses influences racines. De la culture générale, musicale, cartoonesque jusqu’à certains moments clés du scénario de l’auteur, les auditeurs sauront facilement dénicher les vases communicants.

After Children's Terrorvision Workhop (2018), ARLEQUIN is the second conceptual album of this solo project. With his background as a composer in the theatre, Jertrude likes to work on sound image composition by adding a scriptural narrative to his music.

ARLEQUIN therefore proposes the adventure of a human soul on earth.
From infantile innocence (INDIGO / FÉLIX KARMIQUE) to adolescent discovery
(LES PLAISIRS DE MILGRAM) to the obstacles faced once adult (LES CHEMINS QUE L'ON PREND). the sound adventure ultimately offers the protagonist an opportunity to start all over again in the form of reincarnation; whether mental or physical (LA MAGIE DE L'INTERVALLE).

Religion, politics, love, the real, the unreal, madness of grandeur and madness of conspiracies, Jertrude Battue affixes the many facets and the multiple possibilities before the scenario that is a human life.
Despite redemption and the choices we make, who really controls the strings of this great theatre, of this tragi-comedy?

Leaving room for interpretation, ARLEQUIN is a semi-autobiographical work where the musician blithely adds his roots influences. From the general, musical and cartoonish culture to certain key moments in the author's script, listeners will easily find the communicating vessels.
